"The woman stitches threads
that are subtle,
and the intensity
of her devotion
make them fine!" - from Monica O neal's quotes
Here 'woman' refers not to the gender but the quality of the feminine which is naturally devotional. Sufi's aspire for the divine as their lover( saiyyan, kabir referred to 'sahib') while self being the female lover. Human being becomes receptive, a receptacle for something of the subtle to come through into the visible world. Kabir wrote poetry, Sufi's whirl to dissolve into the rhythm and then they become a shower of blessings. At the end of the whirling, the dervish moves through the audience with his skirt high up in the sky. this skirt is an umbrella taking all into the embrace of blessings . This quality exists in every human being and can,in a way, be cultivated.
Devotion has a wonderful quality to turn human endeavour into divine. Each one can aspire to become a conduit through every breath. It requires no training or instruction, simply a heart felt wish, that awakens one to the inner guide and gently leads the way most appropriate for one...
